Christmas-25 of December

MEANING:

Christmas is the festival when Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus. It is on the 25^th of December. We usually decorate our houses with the Nativity Scene. In it, there are the next figures:

●     The Child Jesus

●     The sheep

●     The Virgin Mary

●     St. Joseph

●      The Three wise men (Melchior, Gaspar and Balthazar)

●     Shepherds

We also decorate a tree with lights, Christmas balls  and a  big star on the top of the tree which represents the star that guided the Three Wise Men  to the stable in Bethlehem.

FOOD:

We usually eat: asparagus, seafood, fish, meat, turkey, nougat, marzipan, chocolate, churros, etc.

We usually eat with our grandparents. At Christmas we eat a very tasteful food.

CUSTOMS:

The Christmas tree and decorate it with balls, lights and a big  star. And we put a shoe for in order to Santa Claus keep the presents in.

The nativity scene with the child Jesus, the Virgin Mary, St. Joseph, shepherds, sheep, mule, ox and angels.

We sing Christmas carols.

We play Bingo at Christmas.

We always eat nougat and chesnuts.
